Since 2015, PTC’s key event LiveWorx has been held in Boston’s Innovation District as a one-stop shop for all things digital transformation.
After a pandemic-induced hiatus, LiveWorx returned in May 2023, bringing together thousands of customers and partners to see industry-leading technologies come to life.
Due to the excitement surrounding the conference, PTC knew they had the opportunity to do something special. So, they chose OVATION as their event production partner to assist in establishing PTC as a thought leader in the digital transformation industry.

The Challenge
PTC LiveWorx has been an industry event in years past, showcasing leading technologies in the digital transformation industry.
However, with the return of LiveWorx in 2023, PTC needed to transition this industry event to a PTC user event that spotlighted their products and established them as an industry thought leader.
While good for PTC’s overall brand recognition, there were fewer sponsorships for this year’s event, meaning a limited budget and higher stakes.
The Solution
Due to PTC’s budget for this year’s event, OVATION was tasked with keeping costs at a minimum. They did that by:
- Designing keynote rooms to be repurposed for multiple uses
- Reallocating equipment and labor from unused areas to keep costs low
- Utilizing local labor pools wherever possible to keep client travel costs down
General Session Design and Production
OVATION created an environment for LiveWorx that was impressive at first glance. They also helped produce a multi-use stage for keynotes, concerts with live music, and fireside chats.
Expo Production
OVATION worked seamlessly with other vendors to support production in expo booths and open-air theaters.
Graphic Support, Opening Video, CEO Keynote
OVATION’s team integrated with PTC’s internal marketing and creative departments to design and format assets for multi-widescreen presentations.
They also worked with the CEO & keynote script-writing team to storyboard, animate, and execute a multimedia keynote presentation.
Finally, and most impressively, OVATION helped conceive, design, and execute an opening video experience that was so impactful that it’s now being repurposed for smaller presentations within PTC’s global team.
Talent Sourcing Management
OVATION worked with industry experts to identify, source, and negotiate the appearance of headlining music talent. They also helped accommodate all production and creative requirements for talent to take the logistical burden off of PTC.
Social event production
OVATION provided production support for the Opening Night reception, including sourcing vintage gaming consoles. They also helped with production for the outdoor tailgate party.

In the end, PTC was very satisfied with the executions OVATION assisted them with at LiveWorx, and they’re grateful for the partnership they have with OVATION.
