With the pandemic going on for over 2 years now, Brightcove had to make a game-day decision to move their annual SKO event from being a hybrid event to fully virtual. The executive team at Brightcove made this decision to ensure their staff was safe.
Using the right technology through Brightcove plus partnering with an adaptable experiential events partner like OVATION, together, they were able to coordinate and host a seamless global SKO event.
Brightcove & OVATION put together a solid plan on how to transition from a hybrid to a fully virtual event. They trained all the presenters on virtual vs in-person and what to expect, held virtual rehearsals, and then hosted the live sales kick-off meeting!
Because they had to pivot so quickly, they were only able to present in one time zone. If people couldn’t be on the live presentations, Brightcove needed the content ready for their global audience quickly. In addition to producing an amazing virtual event, together, they were able to leverage the Brightcove streaming and live clipping technology and the OVATION team was also able to edit the sessions to be polished and ready to be shared quickly.
