For its annual user conference ACE2014, Allscripts was looking for ways to elevate their conference by promoting their three brand pillars – Innovation, Collaboration and Connectivity. They asked OVATION to use their technology solutions throughout the entire event to support these three pillars.
The OVATION team spent several months leading up to the event working closely with the Allscripts marketing and design teams to plan an integrated experience for their attendees:
General Session Innovation
OVATION designed a massive curved 165′ x 24′ projection surface with integrated hard scenic elements. OVATION’s Creative Services team brought the canvas to life with content that included a 5 minute, RED-camera-shot, full screen walk-in video, timeline video of a year in review, animated transitions and full screen animated content for executive presentations.
Utilizing the set from the General Session, OVATION transformed the Ballroom into a 3000+ person nightclub for the Closing Night Party. After entering though an energizing kabuki drop entrance, attendees then enjoyed the evening’s entertainment where top acts (STYX and Gin Blossoms) played utilizing the elaborate set.
Session Room Collaboration
OVATION’S presentation management platform was used to seamlessly push over 460 speaker presentations to 42 rooms. From a centrally located Speaker Ready Room, presenters could collaborate with our staff to upload and make last minute changes to their presentation. From this central room OVATION captured content and video of the presenters in each session room for repurposing later on Allscripts website and mobile app.
Connectivity with Attendees
In order for attendees to feel truly connected to the experience, OVATION created a TV Broadcast Studio right at the entrance to the exhibit hall. This professional studio captured interviews with Allscripts executives, Clients and featured a News desk with both anchor spots and roving reports from around the conference. This content was edited and distributed throughout the venue via networked LED monitors, a 3×3 thin bezel interactive video wall and into 42 session rooms prior to the start of each session. This gave attendees a unique and up-to-the-minute look into what was happening at ACE2014. OVATION also designed a unique digital signage scheduling/way-finding solution that provided attendees with key information that was automatically updated using our technology platform. This eliminated the expense of printing programs for the event.
