We do more than produce events – we unite people together. Whether it’s a live, virtual, or hybrid event, our teams work tirelessly to alleviate the stress of production so event leaders can focus on delivering the best experience to their guests.
We don’t settle for okay. Even when events seem adequately organized, our highly skilled professionals are trained to find areas for improvement. We optimize events, taking them from good to great, from events to experiences, and we supply the data and metrics to back up our claims.
We’re particularly skilled in the art of user conferences, which is lucky because 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic introduced challenges that only the adept could handle. While nothing could have prepared us for a pandemic, our years of partnering with organizations to bring their conferences to life helped us focus on achieving the main goals of a user conference in the digital rather than physical space.
Join us as we look back to see how we’ve helped two companies adapt to these challenges by optimizing their user conference experiences.
LogMeIn’s CXNext User Conference
LogMeIn, a respected pioneer in remote work technology, has become one of the world’s largest SaaS companies with tens of millions of active users, over $1.3 billion in annual revenue, and about 2 million customers in over 190 countries. If you’ve done any remote work this year – and who among us hasn’t – you’re probably familiar with LogMeIn’s software.
LogMeIn began its CXNext user conference in 2019 to gather industry leaders and experts together to share inspiration, strategy frameworks, and real-time insights on how to reimagine the customer experience from start to finish. When their in-person conference was disrupted the following year by the Covid-19 pandemic, LogMeIn turned to us for help.
The pressure was on to deliver an engaging virtual experience that would strengthen the brand’s reputation within the SaaS community, but moving their conference to an online format proved more challenging than simply transferring presentations to a virtual platform. We helped LogMeIn optimize the virtual platform they had already chosen to deliver a unique, fun, and engaging virtual conference experience.
From the first moment of engagement through the final delivery of the conference, we helped plan, operate, and execute all program elements from the standpoint of a live event. Every moment was considered, all presenters were supported, and each session went off without a hitch.
Our team, consisting of a Technical Director, Executive Producer, Session Technical Manager, Creative Director, and Graphic Designers, was integral to CXNext’s online success. Here are some other ways we helped with the conference:
- Management of show flow
- Organization of speakers, including speaker kits, dry runs, and tech-ins during the show
- Pre-recording and live recording of the presentations
- Delivery of the content and sessions throughout the conference
- Creative enhancements to the platform, presenter content, and overall experience
The results speak for themselves. With our help, CXNext saw a 109% uptick in registrations over the target goal and a 108% increase in attendees over the target goal. The featured keynote speaker was viewed by nearly 80% of the conference’s total audience, and #CXNext was mentioned on social channels more than 200 times within 12 hours.
“OVATION stood out as a great partner. Their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism across the board were instrumental. Pivoting to virtual was such uncharted waters for us, and OVATION was able to guide us all along the way.” – Kelsey Campbell, Senior Events Manager, LogMeIn.
PTC’s LiveWorx User Conference
PTC, creators of best-in-class technology that enables industrial customers to improve efficiency, maximize revenue growth, and reduce operational costs, isn’t just imagining a better world – they’re helping to create it. Their unique portfolio of CAD, PLM, IoT and AR technologies bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds to transform how things are engineered, manufactured, and serviced.
We’re no stranger to PTC – we’ve been helping them produce elevated live events for more than a decade – but the LiveWorx 2020 user conference presented a new challenge.
The LiveWorx 2020 in-person event was far into the planning phase when Covid-19 forced us to change course. With less than 80 days to spare, we helped PTC prepare, plan, and execute an incredible virtual user conference. This one-day event focused on digital transformation and consisted of nine livestream keynotes, more than 13 content tracks, and over 120 virtual sessions.
As the keynote presentations were the staple element of the conference, our production team worked with them exclusively to coach the speakers and provide white-glove technical support to secure brand consistency and enhance the overall conference experience.
The results were notable! PTC’s original goal of 15,000 registrations was blown out of the water – we exceeded that by 73% with over 26,000 global registrations. LiveWorx 2020 also saw a 77% increase in international participation across 152 countries, and employee engagement skyrocketed, increasing 200% compared to 2019.
“LiveWorx production value separates PTC from our competitors. We’ve always prided ourselves on that. It was important to create something that was movie quality, Hollywood-esque – the crème de la crème of experience…OVATION helped us drastically level up the quality of this event.” – Devin Cleary, Vice President of Experiential Marketing, PTC.
